The Writer's Nest

The Writer's Nest is an exclusive place full of historical charm, immersed in the tranquility of Lake Como. Originally a stonemason's refuge in the 19th century, it was transformed by the writer Giuseppe Guin into his corner of inspiration, where he set many of his novels.

Located in a stone quarry, it still retains the signs left by the quarrymen who for centuries extracted materials for the local villas and churches. A grassy beach opens onto the lake, framed by circular rocks once used by fishermen.

The 120 square meter residence includes two double bedrooms, a panoramic glass and wood veranda, a library built with centuries-old chestnut, and a living room with a period kitchen carved into the stone. The rooms, “della Bilancia” and “della Lanterna,” offer breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding woods.
